CreativeLAB!®

At Acquis we devote part of our time and expertise to promoting the interests of arts & culture at the EU level as well as throughout EU Member States. This is partly self-serving: at Acquis we are all heavy users and enjoy cultural expressions and productions including in literary, visual and performing arts.

Therefore we established “CreativeLAB!®” - a dedicated practice area within our firm. In addition to the regular engagement for clients in the creative sectors, we also carefully select projects on a pro-bono basis. The latter includes projects developed by organisations and individuals with great ideas, that require support to have their voice heard at EU level – including liaising with the European Council, European Commission and European Parliament.

We also share our insights with industry & sector associations and other stakeholder platforms. Among other assignments, team members have engaged and shared their expertise e.g. during the annual Frankfurter Buchmesse, presenting on topics such as the new EU Copyrights Directive (2018/2019) and the e-signature (2019). We also support creatives with the development, marketing and regulatory/legal structuring of ideas and ventures, with a certain focus on books, cinema and multimedia productions.
